I hardly ever shop at Kmart because I get frustrated every time I am in there. There are no price labels on most of the items and even the shelf labels are incorrect or missing. I did finally find a few items I needed and proceeded to the checkout. The ONE checkout. I stood in line for AT LEAST 25 minutes. The ladies at the front of the line had many items that had no price stickers on them and the ONE cashier had to keep going back to look up prices, which even she had trouble finding. When anyone went over to customer service to check out they were told they could only pay in cash because the machine for credit/debit was not working. The ONLY reason I stayed and purchased my items was because they were necessary for our local club and I had no other option. But believe me, if I felt I did I would have gladly given double to someone else. EVERY time I am in that store there is only one associate on the register. And every time there are many customers in line. Perhaps because they are the only retail store in town, they have the consumers in that store, but don't seem to care. As I traveled through the aisles I also noticed MANY open containers varying from personal items to ink cartridges and makeup that had been opened and stolen. Kmart doesn't seem to be dealing with this at all. The shelves are a mess, items are often not stocked and the environment is down right creepy. I felt it was about time someone did something about this and reported them to the BBB. These kinds of "retail" practices are unacceptable.  10    F F  08/08/2007
